"The disc 'Comedies Humaines' is a disc of no nonsense songs. It's obviously Chanson francaise with all its traditions and varied origins. I took a rather unusual approach. I believe that those of you who like what I do will not be disappointed because this disc is very me. All the lyrics are by Brice Homs and Patrice Guirao, two writers who complement each other well. So I've chosen lyrics which seem to particularly suited to making a journey through the gentler side of our human foibles. It's a serious album but, nevertheless, there is much tenderness and humour. Each song is linked to the next in a series of images and emotions which are close to me and with a sensuality that I dare show to you, just a little, not a lot, inspite of my native reserve.. It is an adult disc in the sense that that it is carefully worked out."
