"Ludovic: des vacances chez grand-papa"
Director: Co Hoedman.
It is summer time and Ludovic is staying at his Grandad’s. The little bear cub is glad to see his Grandad again but sadly remembers that Grandma is not there anymore. Grandad must be very sad because he has kept all her belongings in the sitting room. The bear cub is lured by this room, full of memories, and after hesitating for a while he decides to enter it. Ludovic sees the portrait of his Grandma and hugs it. He visits the room many times and slowly the portrait becomes animated. Ludovic can kiss and hug his Grandma, and feel her warmth around him; he can put on her favourite tune and hold out his hand for one last waltz.
“Ludovic:
des vacances chez grand-papa” by Co Hoedman is a very sweet story, with every
emotion emphasized by Daniel Lavoie’s music. It is a moment of intimacy and
complicity between a Grandfather and his grandson who are slowly getting over
the bereavement of Grandma’s death.
